The American Council on Alcoholism (ACA) is a national non-profit 501(c)3 health organization dedicated to educating the public about the effects of alcohol, alcoholism and alcohol abuse, and the need for prompt, effective, readily-available, and affordable alcoholism treatment. 

Alcoholism is a treatable disease that responds to intervention and treatment.  We know that alcoholism treatment works and alcoholics can recover.



Suggested reading for anyone interested in the many different types of treatments available. Written by  Joseph Volpecelli, M.D, Ph.D. and Maia Szalavits , this easy to read book, objectively written, is a fresh breath of air.
